Photo Palettes-Beautiful Yellow Orange

Orange tones can give the audience unlimited warm feelings. The sun shines into the bedroom, the quilts embroidered with orange patterns, they all bring both comfort and warmth to the eyes.
For this picture, I did both computer color analysis and direct analysis from my eyes. I'm more satisfied with the latter. The process is: First, I find the several basic colors in the picture, marked them with numbers. Then I analyzed the proportion relationship between them, draw a diagram, and painted color.

Yellow Orange-the color of energy



Yellow-Orange is a vibrant color. It's a combination of orange and yellow. It denotes energy, warmth, and the sun. It is the color of flame and also represent brightness, glory, dignity and power. It is the color of ancient Chinese emperor’s clothes. Yellow-orange, a color of fall season, brings up images of harvest, autumn leaves, pumpkins, and fruit. It can conjure up thoughts of vitamin C and good health. It represents optimism, enlightenment, and happiness. It is also the color of sand, desert, make you feel hot and dry. It represents passion and desire. Yellow-orange can stimulates activity and appetite, encourages socialization and communication. It is the color of fearlessness and positiveness

Complementary Color Schemes and Split Complementary Color Schemes

It is a packaging design of Tea Forte. The complementary color scheme is: R+G+YG. It creates a great contrast to call attention, but doesn't dazzling our eyes at all.

Van Gogh's paintings are full of complementary colors. In this Self-portrait, he used split complementary color sets: G+YO+RO.
Henri Matisse's "The Dance". In this painting, Matisse used split color sheme: O+BG+BV. The high contrast of color creates a strong sense of motion.
Picasso's painting "Dora Maar" is an good example of using complementary color yellow and violet.
